AAF I love Brooklyn Party

Well...

I can't say I was actually at the party, since I wasn't. I was down 2 floors in the art storage area, monitoring what comes in and what leaves. Ohh. I was also sorting and counting tickets and purchase slips.

I really didn't get to attend the party. No wine, no snacks nothing. I did get to sit down which is immensely better then my paying job at uniqlo. Standing and dealing with rude and disrespectful customers. i Had nothing like those retail encounters at the Fair. All the gallerists and artists coming down to the storage area to sign works in and out were very pleasant and understanding.

I was told often. "I feel bad for you, down here all by yourself".

Yup all by myself again.

I did enjoy the time to think.

Affordable Art

So...

This week is the Affordable Arts Fair in NYC. Its a venue for people who might normally be intimidated by art and its price to come and see contemporary art from galleries all over the world. They come and learn and maybe even buy something. The price ranges from $100 to $10,000.

I'm working the fair this week as a Fair Assistant. Stay tuned for my tales from the fair.
