Who would have thought a statement of purpose essay could cause headaches, heart palpitations and nightmares. It has for me. Its very hard to know what admissons committees are looking for in them and what you shouldn't mention at all. I know. I know. Just state the facts in a clear, cohesive and self identifyable way. But what does that mean. Should it be in my usual writing style? Which I can admit does get conversational if left unchecked.
